Joe Rodriguez
Joe Rodriguez is the founder of Battle Born Safety Strategies, specializing in bridging the gap between government regulation and private-sector execution.
With over two decades of experience across fire service, law enforcement, military operations, and executive-level public safety leadership—including his tenure as Nevada State Fire Marshal—Joe provides clients with an insider’s perspective on navigating complex regulatory landscapes.
His dual focus on strategic risk mitigation and executive government relations enables organizations to move beyond basic compliance—operating with greater clarity, protection, and confidence.
Experience & Leadership
Joe began his career on the front lines as a Firefighter with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), managing complex wildland fire suppression operations across high-risk and rugged terrain.
He later served as Nevada State Fire Marshal, where he held final statutory authority over state fire code enforcement, hazardous materials permitting, and industry licensing. With formal education in Fire Science and Criminal Justice, he brings a rare, enforcement-minded perspective to fire origin and cause investigations, regulatory compliance, and OSHA standards.
A combat veteran of the U.S. Army and National Guard, Joe served as a Military Police officer with multiple activations, including deployments to Afghanistan and a humanitarian mission to Haiti.
His law enforcement career includes Nevada P.O.S.T.-certified service across corrections, patrol, and complex investigations—building deep expertise in adversarial risk assessment, physical security strategy, and operating in high-pressure environments.
Joe has operated at the highest levels of state government, with hands-on experience in legislative processes, regulatory frameworks, and inter-agency coordination.
He understands how policy is written, interpreted, and enforced—allowing him to guide organizations through complex regulatory systems with clarity, efficiency, and strategic insight.
